DESCRIPTION:"Let's Talk Water" \n\nPresented by:   Ross Blaha\, Water Utility Director\, City of Two Rivers & Rob Michaelson\, Manitowoc Public Utilities \n\nThe presenters will discuss:\n\n\n	Water services between Manitowoc and Two Rivers (how the two collaborate together) and water safety issues (stemming from the Flint\, MI crisis).\n	General overview and discussion of how each water utility is structured and how it operates.\n	Technology each facility uses. (Ultra-Filtration vs. Micro-Filtration).\n	Water safety -- how each utility prevent something like Flint\, MI\, from happening.\n\n\n \n\nAbout Ross:  Ross Blaha is currently the Water Utility Director for the City of Two Rivers and have been since June of 2014. Before that he was employed at Manitowoc Public Utilities for 25 years. There are 8 employees including Ross and the staff operates the Water Plant\, Distribution System\, and maintains all equipment for entire system. locates for water and sewer\, and all water meter change outs and testing. \n\nAbout Rob: Robert Michaelson is the Water Systems Manager at Manitowoc Public Utilities (MPU)\, managing the production and distribution of treated Lake Michigan water to the City of Manitowoc (pop. 35\,000) and overseeing the supply of water to the Central Brown County Water Authority\, a large wholesale water customer serving a population of nearly 80\,000 surrounding the Green Bay area.  Rob and the MPU team also manages the water and wastewater contract operations for the Village of Reedsville. Prior to working at MPU\, Rob has worked as an Engineer at a private consulting firm in Michigan and as the Assistant City Engineer at the City of Hartford. Rob has a Civil Engineering degree from Michigan Technological University and is a registered Professional Engineer as well as a certified Water Supply Operator in Wisconsin.\n\n  \n\nUpdates from government officials to follow the "Lets Talk Water" presentation.
