DESCRIPTION:Manitowoc Public Utilities has taken steps to refuel their two primarily fossil-fuel-fired power plants to run exclusively on Wisconsin-recognized 100% renewable biomass densified fuel pellets. This project moves MPU toward a more environmentally sustainable future while improving their economics helping MPU maintain competitive rates.\n\n \n\nTroy Adams has been the MPU General Manager since June 2020. Previously\, Troy had served as the General Manager for a municipally owned utility just northwest of the Minneapolis area. And currently\, Troy services on the board of directors and is chair of the legislative and regulatory committee for their state trade association\, Municipal Electric Utilities of Wisconsin.\n\n\n\nBusiness Connects with Government events provide a venue to inform and educate our community by hosting speakers on topics important to our members.
