After training with Second City Chicago in improv\, she started a local improv troupe\, and then The Bubbler Theatre. She is the owner and producer of Lakeshore's Top Comic. In November 2012 Liysa Callsen was invited to present her book Tell 'em the memoir of a girl whose first language was not the spoken word at the Wisconsin Book Festival. Now\, Liysa speaks to organizations all over the country.
