DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Manitowoc County Hazardous Waste Clean Sweep programs will be held Saturday\, May 16 for households. \n\n\n\nAccepted items include pesticides\, cleaning products\, oil and lead based paints\, automotive chemicals and mercury. Many of these common items are hazardous when used\, stored or disposed of improperly. Look for items that contain the following warnings on their labels: Danger\, Warning\, Caution\, Poison\, Combustible\, Flammable\, Corrosive\, and Toxic. Latex paints will NOT be accepted at Clean Sweep.\n\n\n\nThanks to our participants and volunteers\, since our collection started in 1985\, we have collected 1\,260\,093 pounds of unwanted chemicals.\n\n\n\nNEW  Residents can bring acceptable household hazardous waste items to the Brown County Hazardous Waste Facility free of charge throughout 2026. For more information visit the Brown County Option webpage.\n\n\n\nNEW -Truck bed full and full trailer loads must register by May 8 by calling 920-683-4333.
