SUMMARY:Non-Profit Board Education Training Series for Young Professionals
DESCRIPTION:The Non-Profit Board Education Training Series for Young Professionals is a program for young professionals who are interested in serving on non-profit boards   or those who are currently serving on a board and want to increase their knowledge as a board member. It was created as an exciting opportunity for young professionals to leverage their leadership skills and gain an understanding for what it takes to be successful non-profit board members.\n\n\n\nA secondary goal of the program and of the Young Professionals of Manitowoc County is to increase the leadership roles of the young professionals within Manitowoc County's non-profit sectors.\n\n\n\nThis program is a four-part series taking place on Tuesdays: October 15\, October 22\, October 29 and November 5\, from 12:00-1:00 PM at The Chamber of Manitowoc County\, 1515 Memorial Dr.\, Manitowoc. Participants must attend all of the workshops to receive a certificate of completion. \n\n\n\nThe board education training sessions are led by local community leaders who are experienced in serving on a variety of non-profit boards within Manitowoc County.\n\n\n\nThe fee to participate in this training program is $60 per individual. Lunch and training materials for each session are included in the registration fee. While teaching here in Manitowoc\, he became certifiable as a Municipal Clerk or Treasurer through the Wisconsin Clerks & Treasuries Institute. She's equally well versed with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. She founded Mustard Seed Advisors where she worked as a social entrepreneur helping nonprofits raise money\, drive operational excellence\, and solve business problems that hold organizations back and prevent growth. She's trained and energized boards of directors\, planned\, and executed major fundraising events\, and successfully written governmental and foundation grants. We'll cover what your fiduciary responsibility is as a board member\, best practices\, key components of the Form 990\, and financial reporting considerations unique to non-profits.\n\n\n\nChad is a lifelong resident of Manitowoc County\, and experienced in providing seamless assurance\, tax\, and consulting services for clients. His primary focus is in providing assurance services to entities of all sizes. In addition to experience in assurance services\, he has experience in preparing a variety of tax returns for clients at the conclusion of their year. This has allowed him to have numerous meaningful discussions with clients regarding the services and opportunities CLA can provide and continuing the CLA promise "to know you and help you."\n\n\n\n\n\nDate:  November 5\, 2024\n\nSession 4:  Get to Know Local Non-Profits Luncheon\n\n\n\nLocal non-profit leaders will be invited to this meet and greet luncheon to share a little bit about their individual organization's mission\, impact and goals in the community.
