A native of Manitowoc County and a young professional himself\, Derek will dive into conversation of leadership\, professional growth\, and finding personal fulfillment.  Topics covered will include: "How to Do the Most Important Things When You're Already Busy" and "Everyone Communicates\, Few Connect: What the Most Effective People Do Differently".  Signed books from Derek Deprey will be available for purchase at the event.  Breakfast is included\, for those participating in-person.  \n\n\n\nAbout Derek:\n\nDerek's passion in life is to evoke excellence in every person at every level. After a career of working in basketball operations at the collegiate and professional levels\, he empowers others both as the director of people & service at a fitness club and as a leadership professor at a university. Derek founded Move Results to impact the lives of individuals\, organizations\, and communities. Today\, he loves to inspire and influence others as a speaker and writer. He is the author of SHIFT: Move from Frustrated to Fulfilled and soon-to-be author of Rise Above Robo-Bosses: How to Thrive as a Leader in the Digital Era. Derek lives in Milwaukee\, WI\, with his wife and two daughters. \n\n\n\nSession 1: 8:00-10:00am\n\nEveryone Communicates\, Few Connect: What the Most Effective People Do Differently\n\nIf you want to succeed and influence others\, you must learn how to connect with people. In this workshop\, Derek will show you how to get the message across by building a bridge to others. He will point out that cultivating relationships is every bit as important to effective communication as crafting the message. Derek will share four principles and four practices to develop the crucial skill of connecting that will give you the edge.\n\n \n\n \n\nSession 2: 10:30am - 12:30pm \n\nHow to Do the Most Important Things When You're Already Busy \n\nCarefully look over all of the things that you do and don't want to do. Will you commit to action on the big priorities? The way to get started is to bridge the gap between being busy and being productive. In this presentation\, Derek will help you design every minute of your work and life activities with 10 gap-closing behaviors. You'll go from\, "I'm swamped and stressed\," to\, "I'm laser-focused and effective."
