DESCRIPTION:The Rahr-West Art Museum in Manitowoc\, Wisconsin\, is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2025\, marking three-quarters of a century as a public cultural institution. In 1950\, the first official meeting of the Rahr Civic Center Board took place at the City of Manitowoc's Office of the Clerk. From that initial meeting\, the museum has grown to become a beloved treasure of our community.
