SUMMARY:Safety Forum - Manitowoc County Highway Department
DESCRIPTION:Safety Forums provide an excellent opportunity for safety minded individuals to meet in an informal session to share information and discuss concerns about safety and health programs.  This forum will consist of a company tour followed by a discussion period.\n\n                                                 \n\nThe Manitowoc County Highway Department is responsible for maintaining all of the State Trunk Highway System within Manitowoc County\, including I-43.  Their one shift of employees works 6:30 am-3:00 pm providing summer road maintenance and will work from 4:00 am-8:00 pm during the winter months to keep up with winter weather with the exception of I-43 which requires 24-hour service. The department performs their services out of several locations throughout the county including the main shop on STH 310 as well as in the Village's of St. Nazianz\, Mishicot and Reedsville.\n\nThe tour will be provided by Gary Kennedy\, Highway Commissioner and Wayne Sleger\, Shop Superintendent.
