DESCRIPTION:Join us for this Wellness Council presentation given by Dr. Carl DiRaimondo of Orthopaedic Associates of Manitowoc who will help us to understand the effects of aging on our bodies\, the physiological benefits of exercise\, exercise types and program design\, how to initiate a new exercise program\, and how to prevent and treat overuse injuries associated with exercise.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA Graduate of Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee\, Dr. DiRaimondo completed orthopedic residency at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago\, IL and a fellowship in sports medicine at Baylor College of Medicine\, Houston\, TX. Dr. DiRaimondo has a special interest in sports-related injuries and has specialized training in arthroscopic\n\nand open cartilage and ligament reconstructive surgery of the shoulder\, knee\, hip\, elbow\, and ankle and performs minimally invasive and outpatient joint replacement procedures.  Dr. DiRaimondo is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and sub specialty certified in Sports Medicine.\n\nThe Wellness Council of Manitowoc County is dedicated to helping employers design results-oriented wellness programs to maximize the health and productivity of their most valuable asset-their employees.  It is the belief and commitment that this council is a dynamic\, on-going group that focuses on creating awareness and education.
