DESCRIPTION:Sudden summer severe storms and frigid\, lake-effect blizzards The weather of Northeast Wisconsin is as unpredictable as it is powerful. Why does our region experience such extreme\, four-season swings\, and how have historical weather events shaped our communities? From the Neville Public Museum's Spectacular Science: Weather exhibit\, this program explores the unique meteorological forces that create our climate and the science behind Wisconsin's most dramatic historic weather events.\n\nJoin museum curator James Peth as he uncovers the science and historic storms that have defined Northeast Wisconsin's skies.\n\nAdmission is free and open to the public\, with refreshments available for purchase. Each event features a specialty cocktail.\n\nDoors and cash bar open at 6:00 PM. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at the limited bar. The presentation and livestream will begin at 6:30 PM. He holds a BS in Biology with minors in Captive Wildlife Management and Museum Studies from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point\, and a MA in Museum Studies from the University of San Francisco. His curatorial work bridges science\, natural history\, and regional story-telling.\n\nThe Wisconsin Maritime Museum is located at 75 Maritime Drive\, Manitowoc\, WI 54220. This program is funded in part by a grant from the Green Bay Packers Foundation.
