DESCRIPTION:Give back. Get outside. Connect.\n\n\n\nJoin us on Saturday\, May 16th from 9:00 11:00 AM for a meaningful morning along the Manitowoc lakeshore as Young Professionals come together to help clean up a local beach.\n\n\n\nWe'll be volunteering as a group and assigned to one of the cleanup locations\, either Silver Creek Park Beach\, University Beach\, Lakefront Beach\, YMCA Beach\, or Lighthouse Park Beach. No matter where we land\, you'll be making a visible impact while spending time with other motivated young professionals.\n\n\n\n  Why join?\n\n	Make a difference in your community\n	Meet and connect with other young professionals\n	Enjoy fresh air and lakefront views while giving back\n\nAll supplies are provided by the Friends of the Manitowoc River Watershed (FMRW)\, including nitrile gloves\, buckets\, pickup sticks and garbage bags\, but feel free to bring your own work gloves if you prefer. Be sure to dress in layers\, as it can be chilly and windy by the water this time of year!\n\n\n\nBring a friend or come solo\, either way\, you'll connect with others while helping keep our beaches beautiful!\n\n\n\nWe'll provide a meeting location as soon as they give us an assignment. Please provide accurate contact information\, so we can reach out with details before the event.\n\n \n\nWho are the Young Professionals of Manitowoc County?\n\nThe Young Professionals (YPs) of Manitowoc County is a networking and development group of individuals around the ages of 21 40 who live or work in the area. Everyone is welcome to attend their events (no membership required\, YP events are open to the public).\n\n\n\nWho are the Friends of the Manitowoc River Watershed (FMRW)?\n\nStarted by Kim Kettner and Wendy Lutzke in 2012\, the Friends of the Manitowoc Watershed (FMRW) is a group of volunteers working to raise awareness about the water quality issues impacting the Manitowoc River and the land draining into it. We are committed to connecting people to the Manitowoc River through our hands-on events and educational workshops to increase appreciation\, awareness\, and use of the river.   Find out more.
