Prior to coming to Manitowoc County\, he served as a Disaster Program Manager with the American Red Cross were he responded to dozens of large scale disasters\, most notably in his role as the planning section lead for the organization's response to Hurricane Irma in the State of Florida. He is a graduate of Manitowoc Lutheran High School and has a Bachelor's Degree in Emergency & Disaster Management from the American Military University.
