She got her undergraduate degree from St. Norbert College. After graduation\, she joined the Peace Corps\, serving in Swaziland in southern Africa for two years as a public health volunteer.\n\n\n\nWhen she came back to the US\, she got her master's in public health at Emory University in Atlanta\, Georgia. She then worked for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention before returning to Manitowoc during the pandemic to take on the role of Health Officer for the Manitowoc County Health Department.
