SUMMARY:Wellness Awareness Lunch "Importance of Brain Health in the Workplace"
DESCRIPTION:Wellness Awareness Lunch "Importance of Brain Health in the Workplace"\n\n\n\nKim Jacquart Franzen\, Dementia Care Specialist at the ADRC of the Lakeshore\, will give an Education and Awareness presentation on Dementia including statistics\, types of dementia\, early warning signs and strategies to improve brain health. Information will also be shared on dealing with dementia in the workplace. The effect of dementia in the workplace is two-fold. Employees may be diagnosed with the disease or they may become caregivers of someone with the disease. Through education and awareness\, the ADRC hopes to create a more dementia- friendly community in the Manitowoc County area by easing the fear and isolation associated with dementia and increasing access to the resources people need to live well with dementia. Join us on September 10 for a very informative presentation.\n\n\n\nKim Jacquart Franzen is currently the Dementia Care Specialist at the Aging and Disability Resource Center.
