Are you captivated by thunderstorms? Ever been caught in a lake effect snowstorm and wondered to yourself, "But why exactly is this happening?" If these thoughts sound familiar, then chances are that you may want to attend "Become a Meteorologist with Storm Team 5." On Thursday, October 5, from 4-5 PM in the Balkansky Community Room. join WFRV-TV’s Meteorologist, Jordan Lamers of Storm Team 5, to find out a bit about how weather works. Jordan will be showing attendees how they can become amateur meteorologists using the equipment in MPL’s new Weather Science Kit. All ages are welcome and no registration is required. This program is made possible through the support of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Region 4.
