EHS Administrator
kdc/one Northern Labs, Inc. is a contract manufacturer  of consumer and commercial cleaning products. We are offering a challenging opportunity in our Environmental, Health and Safety Department.

Support safety presence across the plant and organization with time spent on the production floor. Serves as part of the safety support network by demonstrating a commitment to safety and effectively supports the control and elimination of workplace hazards. 


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.    Assist with on the floor safety policy and procedure audits to promote a safe work environment. This includes but is not limited to, pre-start safety inspections, hazardous communication, hazard recognition and fire prevention.
1.    Audits safety policies and measures to be followed by company or plant personnel.
2.    Conduct mock OSHA audits and reports findings to leadership group as needed.
3.    Supports investigations of injuries via Root Cause Analysis in conjunction with line and staff personnel. Develops effective and sustainable corrective actions. 
4.    Oversees the Don’t Walk By Program and assists with communicating hazard control information and effectiveness of the control.
5.    Supports and coordinates training programs which will increase proficiency in safe practices and promote safety consciousness, including but not limited to site tool box talks and new hire safety orientation. 
6.    Prepares and arranges safety exhibits and material for display, promotional work, industry conferences and exhibitions.
7.    Assists in the establishment and administration of special safety drives or campaigns.
8.    Supports environmental data gathering as needed

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
•    OSHA 30 Hour Certification or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
•    Three years’ professional experience in manufacturing industry, with a focus on safety.
•    Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
•    Knowledge of federal, state, local safety and health regulations.
•    Familiar with Emergency Procedures in First Aid, CPR, Defibrillator.
•    Must possess good organizational and administration skills.
