Heart & Homestead Celebrating 25 years

Heart & Homestead, 909 S. 8th St., Downtown Manitowoc is celebrating their 25th year in business! Starting today, and occasionally throughout the rest of the year, customers will be able to take advantage of sales and special deals and they can sign up to win prizes. The first drawing will be on May 21st for 25 prizes that will be given away.
The business, owned by Cathy Karl, offers a large selection of gifts, décor and is well known for the front window filled with cheeseheads galore! Her husband, Harold A. Olson, Jr. uses his accounting credentials to help with monthly responsibilities and her daughter, Angie has served as her right hand and store manager for nearly 20 years. Cathy says, “We’re a good team and with the help of great employees we make it all work!” She added, “Our customers are so supportive and so many have become our good friends. We’re all so appreciative and we know how to make it fun!” In addition to the store, Karl has been active in many different iterations of the Downtown Business Association and helps with many events, including the Evergleams On Eighth aluminum tree display during the holidays. “We love being part of the Downtown and invite everyone to stop down soon to see all the improvements that have been added in recent years!”
