Lakeshore Wind Ensemble “Festival of Christmas” Concert

Saturday, December 3, 2022
Capitol Civic Centre
Begin your family’s holiday celebrations with the Lakeshore Wind Ensemble’s Festival of Christmas concert at the Capitol Civic Centre on Saturday, December 3rd at 7:30 PM.  Joining the wind ensemble and conductor Jeremiah Eis for this memorable evening of joyous music will be narrator Tom Zalaski, LWE vocalist Kim Hofmann and the charming Festival of Christmas Children’s Choir. The Lincoln High School holiday horns will be playing festive Christmas music in the lobby prior to the concert.
The concert will include Manheim Steamroller’s “Fum, Fum, Fum,” Ian Macpherson’s arrangement of “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen and more! Kim Hofmann will join the ensemble in singing “Joy to the World,” “Still, Still, Still” and “Grown-Up Christmas List.”
The delightful Festival of Christmas Children’s Choir will then take the stage. The thirteen-member choir is comprised of children, grandchildren, and nieces of members of the wind ensemble, and is directed and choreographed by Ginger Van Ells. The children range from 5 to 13 years of age. They will sing “Be a Santa Claus,” “Sincerely, Christmas” and “Snow Day!”
An audience sing-along will conclude the concert, as the audience is invited to join the Lakeshore Wind Ensemble and the Festival of Christmas Children’s Choir for a medley of traditional carols. The words for the carols will be printed in the programs.
Tickets for Festival of Christmas are available at the Capitol Civic Centre Box Office and start at $9 for students and balcony seating, taxes and fees additional. For more information, contact the Capitol Civic Centre Box Office: 913 South 8th Street, Manitowoc, WI, 920-683-2184. www.cccshows.org
