The role of the Master Gardeners is to transfer research-based horticulture information—primarily from universities—to the general public. Feel free to bring in photographs of problems you are seeing in your gardens to share with the Master Gardeners. They’ll do their best to help with plant identification, as well as disease or pest issues. Come to MPL on either September 5 or September 12—or both!—with your gardening queries to find out what information the MGMC can pass along!

There will be a demonstration of all the different types of seeds that have been collected in our gardens and in the wild. As if that wasn’t enough reason for gardening aficionados to show up to MPL’s Balkansky Community Room on Saturday, September 9, from 10-11 AM, those in attendance will be shown how to harvest their own vegetable seeds, with both wet & dry methods. AND attendees will have the opportunity to take FREE seeds home for their 2024 gardens!
