Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Holyland Food Pantry Saturday, April 15th at 1:00pm 2023

The Holyland Food Pantry Board of Directors is thrilled to announce that on April 15th, 2023, they are hosting an Open House and ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the new HFP (Holyland Food Pantry). The board wants to welcome and thank the community for making this dream a reality at W929 Kiel Road, Marytown. The HFP Board is having a celebratory brat fry with pantry tours, raffle baskets and more. HFP also offers opportunities to become a member or a volunteer for the pantry. We will also be accepting donations for non-perishable items.  The public is welcome to join the celebration.
The pantry was built with an initial matching grant from the Basic Needs Giving Partnership Fund within the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region supported by the U.S. Venture Fund for Basic Needs and the J.J. Keller Foundation. Private and public community partners, and many generous public donations joined in matching and exceeding the initial grant. The new facility has increased storage in order to buy bulk commodities and offer handicapped accessibility and private conferencing areas. Additionally, the site is zoned commercial to access federal and state government food programs for meat, produce and dry goods.
In 2018 the HFP board started discussing the idea of building a new facility. The pantry currently serves 40-45 households monthly and it became very evident that the current food pantry had outgrown the needs of the community. An HFP building committee was created to research and consider different buildings and possible sites for the new facility. In September 2021 HFP purchased a lot on Kiel Road in Marytown and the building process was underway by spring of 2022.
HFP continues its mission to provide emergency and supplemental food and referrals to resources for those in need in our service area. We insist on respecting the dignity of our clients and believe in providing non-judgmental support.  If you, or someone you know, needs food or referrals to resources, please call the Holyland Food Pantry at 920-286-1333.  A volunteer will take or return your call within 24 hours.
It all begins with hope. The hope is to make a difference in someone else’s life. At Holyland Food Pantry, our promise and commitment to help those in need are what we’re all about. Financial donations may be sent to: Holyland Food Pantry PO Box 62 Malone, WI 53049
