Second Annual Thanksgiving Community Meal Set for Thursday, November 24
The Hunger Coalition of Manitowoc County will host their second annual Thanksgiving Community Meal on Thursday, November 24 in partnership with Roncalli High School.
On the menu: Sliced roast turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn, green bean casserole (with slivered almonds), cranberry sauce, roll with butter, pumpkin or apple pie, and beverages. The meal is provided free of charge to Manitowoc County residents. All are welcome.
To reserve a meal, call United Way Manitowoc County’s office at (920) 682-8888 by 4:00pm Wednesday, November 23. Only 350 meals available – first come, first served.
To-go meals are available for pickup at Roncalli High School 10:30am-noon. Dine-in meals will be served in Roncalli’s beautiful atrium noon-1:30pm.
“The Thanksgiving Meal is a great opportunity to connect with others,” said Ashley Bender, Executive Director of United Way Manitowoc County. “Whether you enjoy a meal, volunteer or both, this event will warm your heart.”
The Hunger Coalition of Manitowoc County is a community-based collaborative under United Way Manitowoc County’s Basic Needs initiative and is joined by Salvation Army of Manitowoc County, Grow It Forward, UW-Madison Extension FoodWise, Manitowoc Public School District, and First Presbyterian Church.
