The Manitowoc County Historical Society Partners with Local Resturant, Holla, to Bring the Sorenson Table to Life

The Manitowoc County Historical Society and Holla are partnering to bring a historic dinning experience to life in the Sorenson House, one of the many historic structures in Pinecrest Village at the Manitowoc County Historical Society These experiences are available on a limited number of dates with limited seating. Dates include April 20, July 20, and October 19.

Gather at the Sorenson House table for a delightful, simple, historic supper. Enjoy the sites, sounds, and smells of a kitchen from days gone by.  At the table guests will be served a historic menu prepared by the amazing chefs at Holla, in the comfort of the Sorenson home. Guests will be able to take home menus of their own from the print shop, another historic structure at the Manitowoc County Historical Society.

The menu for this April's supper includes: Mutton Stew with Soda Bread, with a skillet cake for dessert.
Historic Dinner programs are much more than a meal. You’ll be transported back in time to experience an intimate supper gathered around the wood stove and learn about life in the past from your cook and dinner hosts. In order to plan for this special experience, the Manitowoc County Historical Society requires advanced tickets for this program. Since this experience is so different from a simple restaurant reservation, we are unable to provide a full refund for last minute cancellations.

Advanced registration required at on museum's website at ManitowocCountyHistory.org or by calling (920) 684-4445. The cost is $65. MCHS Members receive a 15% discount.

About the Manitowoc County Historical Society
Nestled in the scenic rolling Ice Age Kettle Moraine countryside of Eastern Wisconsin, the Manitowoc County Historical Society is a museum of living history. This 60-acre interpretive museum of local history features a Welcome Center with local history exhibits and research services and the outdoor Pinecrest Historical Village - a collection of over 25 historic buildings with period furnishings from Manitowoc County's early settlers.

Pinecrest Historical Village began in 1970 with a land donation from the Hugo and Eleanor Vetting family.  The Village has grown to represent a reproduction of a small Wisconsin community during the early 1900s. The buildings form the commercial, social, and political core of a town and they represent several architectural styles of Wisconsin's history. The furnishings, items, and tools in the various buildings used by the Pinecrest Village interpreters are either original pieces or carefully researched reproductions.
