Farms can dispose of acceptable hazardous chemicals for free and must register by May 8 by calling 920-693-4333.
Businesses must register by May 8. Self-registration instruction/forms are available on the Hazardous Waste Clean Sweep webpage under the business guidelines.

The 2026 Manitowoc County Hazardous Waste Clean Sweep programs will be held Friday, May 15 for farms and qualifying businesses.
Farms can dispose of hazardous chemicals for free. Qualifying businesses may be eligible for subsidized disposal rates. Businesses and farms must pre-register by May 8.
Accepted items include pesticides, cleaning products, oil and lead based paints, automotive chemicals and mercury. Many of these common items are hazardous when used, stored or disposed of improperly. Look for items that contain the following warnings on their labels: Danger, Warning, Caution, Poison, Combustible, Flammable, Corrosive, and Toxic. Latex paints will NOT be accepted at Clean Sweep.
Thanks to our participants and volunteers, since the Clean Sweep started in 1985, we have collected 1,260,093 pounds of unwanted chemicals.
