Manufacturing Rocks!

Manitowoc County will be celebrating Manufacturing Day on Friday, October 7.

Why?

Because Manufacturing Rocks! This is the month when manufacturers around the country open their doors to show community members that manufacturing careers are alive and well. Here's your opportunity to tour some of Manitowoc County's manufacturing facilities to learn about the company itself and learn about potential jobs - and also to change your misperception of careers in manufacturing.

All tours will be 60 minutes in duration and be limited to 20 people per tour. The event is open to the public and will include special invitations to our local business leaders, school administrators, counselors, teachers and students.

Participating manufacturing businesses are Kaysun Corporation, Tramontina, Skana Aluminum and Burger Boat. Tour one, two, three or all four companies - you can specify which ones when you register.

Following are time slots for each tour and the type of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required. Safety glasses and ear plugs will be available at each facility. There are no special footwear requirements for the tours.
 

9:00-10:00am 5500 West Dr., Manitowoc (Safety glasses required)

12:00-1:00pm 2005 Mirro Dr., Manitowoc (Safety glasses and ear plugs required)

3:00-4:00pm 2009 Mirro Dr., Manitowoc (Safety glasses and ear plugs required)

9:00-10:00am or 1:00-2:00pm 1811 Spring St., Manitowoc (No special PPP required)

10:00-11:00am or 1-2:00pm ​ 2210 Woodland Dr. Manitowoc (Safety glasses and closed toe shoes required.)
