The Manitowoc Public Library is pleased to announce that it will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its newly constructed Community Creation Room on Tuesday, September 29 at noon. This new library service was made possible by a grant from the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) fund. The new space is a fully equipped technology lab that is available for community members to create digital content. It will feature an Audio Recording studio, Video Recording studio, Technology-Rich Collaborative Workstations and a 3-D Printer. The lab equipment includes two 27 inch iMacs with Apple’s premiere video and audio creation tools: Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro X. Also included is: Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Elements, audio mixers, studio headphones, Studio One Artist DAW software, professional-grade microphones, and a 3D printer. The space and equipment will be available for exploration and creation of business logos, musical expressions and recording, digital illustration, movie making, and technology education.
