Description

The Northeastern Wisconsin Area Health Education Center (NEWAHEC) invites the public to celebrate the installation of its second Public Health Vending Machine (PHVM), located outside the Two Rivers Fire Department. This new PHVM builds on the success of NEWAHEC’s Manitowoc location, which has become a trusted resource used by residents nearly every day. Made possible through generous community partners and grant funding, these machines provide convenient, confidential access to free resources 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Items support personal well-being, disease prevention, and community safety. The Two Rivers Fire Department was a natural partner for this initiative due to its strong community presence, steady foot traffic, and ongoing commitment to resident health and safety. Inventory for the machine was selected in collaboration with local organizations that identified the community’s greatest needs. Because those needs evolve throughout the year, the machine’s offerings will also adapt—ensuring NEWAHEC and its partners can respond to seasonal concerns and emerging priorities. Refreshments will be provided by Grow It Forward, one of our many dedicated community partners.
