Teaching Life Skills Through Theatre
Mondays 4:30-5:15-- An introduction to imagination and creative dramatics. This level encourages creative play and introduces value-based learning. Level One students will enter drama through story and improv.
Dare to Dream Theatre Academy: Where children develop important life skills and core values through creativity and imagination.
Youngsters experience the thrills and challenges of live theater and blossom as they discover more about themselves and the world around them. All in a fun, relaxed and nurturing environment.
Children will discover and develop:
Creative and Critical Thinking ~ Confidence/Self-Esteem ~ Respect/Appreciation ~ Compassion/Empathy ~ Teamwork
Class sizes are extremely limited so that each child receives personalized encouragement and attention.
Our professional instructors meet your child on his or her level, expertly guiding while gently leading your child to grow at his or her own speed. Individuality is encouraged and all levels of experience are welcome.
All students enrolled in Academy Classes will be cast in the Academy Series Productions if they so desire. Only students enrolled in Fall Academy classes will be eligible to be cast in the Fall Production of A Year with Frog and Toad KIDS and actors under the age of 12 must enroll in Fall or Spring Academy classes to be eligible for a role in High School Musical 2 JR.
Every Semester, ?The Actor in You Series? explores a magical world from children?s literature.
In Fall of 2010, join your friends and Dare to Dream as we learn acting and public speaking skills while exploring the worlds created by authors such as Arnold Lobel, Beatrix Potter, and Brian Jacques.
All levels welcome new and old students alike, meeting each child on their level while encouraging growth and learning. Each age group will concentrate on the same skill set, but the activities and exercises will vary by level.
Individuality is encouraged and all levels of experience are welcome. Empathy, sensitivity and concern for others are heavily emphasized throughout the series.
