June 2011 marks the eleventh year of M&I Community Day, a corporate initiative that encourages employees from every city or location served by M&I to recognize the needs of their communities, establish a service project, and form volunteer teams. This year the Manitowoc branch of M&I at 1013 S 8th Street, Manitowoc, is collecting items for care packages to men/women aboard The USS George Washington that don’t receive packages from home. We are collecting: Travel size personal hygiene items; small packs/lunch size non perishable food items; black pens; crossword puzzles; decks of cards; magazines; paperback books; notebooks; comic books; hard candy; beef jerky; freeze dried fruit; trail mix; raisins or cash donations for mailing costs.
