Strut Your Stuff at DollyWalk: Women United Steps Up for Early Childhood Literacy
Manitowoc, Wisconsin — United Way Manitowoc County’s Women United group is excited to announce DollyWalk – a new fundraiser in support of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library program!
DollyWalk – a 2-mile walk along Mariners Trail in Manitowoc - is set for Saturday, September 13, 9:00-11:00am. This is a family and dog friendly event. Check-in starts at 8:00am in the Manitowoc Yacht Club parking lot with a 9:00am air horn start.
The Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting FREE books to children from birth to age 5. This program is made possible through funding shared by Dolly Parton herself and local affiliates like United Way.
Pre-registration is $32, day-of registration is $40, children 5 and under are FREE. The first 50 registrants receive a FREE “Dolly” wig. Bundles of “Dolly Wood” are $5 each and can be reserved at registration or purchased at the event.
The Walk includes a storyboard of “The Little Engine That Could”, a train and Dolly cutout photo booth, and free snacks. Women United also invites walkers to dress like Dolly!

United Way is open Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm.
