Active Shooter and Workplace Violence
Description
This seminar is designed to prepare participants for incidents of workplace violence and school violence with an emphasis on the active shooter.
Jonesboro, Arkansas; Columbine, Colorado, and Newtown, Connecticut are tragic reminders that violence can happen anywhere. This seminar will address workplace violence, with a major emphasis on the active shooter.
Topics include:
- Recognizing a problem before it is too late.
- Having a plan for adults, children, and organizations
- How to talk to adults, employers, peers and children about these tragedies
- Sample policies to enact at your organization
- The need to prepare yourself mentally
- Planning an escape route at your organization
- Proper practice for an active shooter, the modern "fire drill"
- Physical steps which can be taken to "harden" your environment from these tragedies
- And more
Who should attend: EVERYONE, especially parents, employees, employers, safety/OSHA managers, office workers, factory workers, school teachers and staff.
