This seminar is designed to prepare participants for incidents of workplace violence and school violence with an emphasis on the active shooter.
Jonesboro, Arkansas; Columbine, Colorado, and Newtown, Connecticut are tragic reminders that violence can happen anywhere.  This seminar will address workplace violence, with a major emphasis on the active shooter.
Topics include:

• Recognizing a problem before it is too late.
• Having a plan for adults, children, and organizations
• How to talk to adults, employers, peers and children about these tragedies
• Sample policies to enact at your organization
• The need to prepare yourself mentally
• Planning an escape route at your organization
• Proper practice for an active shooter, the modern "fire drill"
• Physical steps which can be taken to "harden" your environment from these tragedies
• And more

About the instructor: Jason Wilterdink has 15 years of experience as a Law Enforcement Officer.  He is currently a full-time Criminal Justice intstructor at LTC, a master instructor in use of force, and certified by several organizations as a firearms instructor.
