The Chamber of Manitowoc County in partnership with Lakeland University, University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Manitowoc Campus and Lakeshore College are pleased to offer ADVANCED LEADERSHIP: Educate. Empower. Elevate. This exciting new program has been developed for the mid to senior-level managers, nonprofit administrators, and entrepreneurs seeking advanced leadership and communications skills to move their careers and organizations forward. Each session will be taught by instructors from the partner colleges.
Course Description:
Effective communication is the cornerstone of collaboration, leadership, and organizational success. This workshop equips participants with practical tools and strategies to communicate with clarity, confidence, and empathy.
Learning Outcomes:
Through interactive exercises and real-world scenarios, attendees will learn how to:
- Build Connection: Foster trust and rapport in conversations.
- Enhance Clarity: Deliver messages that are understood the first time.
- Adapt Communication Styles: Recognize and respond to different personality and communication preferences.
- Active Listening: Improve listening skills to strengthen relationships and reduce misunderstandings.
- Handle Difficult Conversations: Navigate conflict and feedback with professionalism and respect.
Sheri Treu is the Director of Organizational Effectiveness at Menasha Corporation with over 20 years of Human Resources and Organizational Development. Her responsibilities at Menasha Corporation include focusing on Continuous Improvement Enterprise Initiative, Developing a people first culture and championing the Equity, Inclusion and Diversity space.
Sheri is a certified professional coach with her ACC from the ICF, has a Master’s Degree in Learning and Organizational Development and an adjunct professor for Lakeland University. She is also actively involved on the Advisory Board for the Schrieber’s Institute for Women’s Leadership at UWGB.
