Featuring Rich Zipperer, Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of Governor Scott Walker
Rich Zipperer will provide an update on the 2013-15 biennium budget and healthcare reform as it relates to Wisconsin.
Rich Zipperer currently serves as Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Counsel to Governor Scott Walker. Prior to joining the Walker Administration in 2012, Zipperer served in the Wisconsin State Legislature. He was first elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in 2006, and was reelected to that position in 2008. In 2010, Zipperer was elected to the Wisconsin State Senate to represent the 33rd Senate District, including portions of Waukesha and Washington Counties.
In the state Senate, Rich served on the following committees:
- Committee on Judiciary, Utilities, Commerce, and Government Operations (Chair)
- Joint Committee on Finance
- Committee on State and Federal Relations and Information Technology
While serving in the Assembly and Senate, Zipperer also worked as attorney in private practice. Zipperer’s legal work focused on the fields of small business law, estate planning, and probate.
Prior to his legislative career, Rich served as U.S. Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner’s District Director and Deputy Chief of Staff.
