Presented by: Jill Grohusky, Career Consultant, Great Lakes Training and Development Corporation
Overview of topics to be covered:
- The current outlook in regards to unemployment in our area for adults over the age of 50
- Statistics for the rehiring of this age demographic (changes over the last year or so for unemployment numbers per this age demographic and potentially fruther employer info)
- Issues and concerns of the adult worker
- Changes in employer standards since the 1970s and 1980s and importance of a GED and/or further education in today's world
- Statistics on older adult students in the Manitowoc area
- Overview of the services that are available to assist the adult worker in attaining the skills needed to find further employment.
