Join us on your lunch break for a relaxing and uplifting start to NAMIWalks Wisconsin! This virtual kick-off event will feature a gentle Tai Chi session led by certified instructor Peter Joy, followed by a brief introduction to NAMIWalks Wisconsin and how you can get involved in walking for mental health for all.
Tai Chi is often described as "meditation in motion." It's a powerful mindfulness practice that helps you slow down, connect with your body, and find calm in the chaos. It’s a simple and accessible way to take care of your mental and physical health. Great for beginners and all abilities!

Peter is a Certified Tai Chi Instructor through Dr. Paul Lam’s Tai Chi for Health Institute, an Occupational Therapist (Retired), and a passionate NAMI volunteer. He began training in Tai Chi in 2015 as part of his personal journey managing anxiety and depression, making his practice both healing and deeply meaningful.
NAMIWalks Wisconsin supports the NAMI affiliates of NAMI Wisconsin, NAMI Ozaukee, and NAMI Fond du Lac.
