Description
On behalf of the City of Manitowoc, City of Two Rivers and the Wisconsin Maritime Museum, we would like to extend a personal invitation for you to attend an important gathering related to our effort to secure a new National Marine Sanctuary off the coast of our communities.
On October 5th, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) announced the agency’s intent to hold “Public Scoping Meetings” in Manitowoc/Two Rivers, Sheboygan and Port Washington. These public input meetings are an important part of the process to allow citizens to ask questions, express concerns and most importantly, to voice support for our sanctuary nomination.
We want to make sure that NOAA staff who will be in-attendance at this public meeting see how serious and excited we are about championing this effort! That’s why we need you to be here for this important event; an event that we are turning into a celebration of reaching this milestone in the nomination process!
Our goal is to fill the museum’s Riverview Room to capacity with a cross-section of community members, business leaders, elected officials and others.
