Safety Forums provide an excellent opportunity for safety-minded individuals to meet in an informal session to share information and discuss concerns about their safety and health programs. Typically forums consist of a company tour and a discussion period. There are NO safety restrictions for this Safety Forum.
The purpose of the Joint Dispatch Center is to serve as an essential link between the public and any police, fire, or EMS assistance that they may need. To work as a team to ensure that public safety is never compromised, that their customers receive help in a professional and timely manner, and that the agencies they serve will be met with excellence when they are called upon.
One of the services they provide to the residents of Manitowoc County is Enhanced 9-1-1, which supplies dispatchers with the name, address, and emergency service provider(s) for each particular address; making the response to each incident quicker & more efficient. They also have the capability for wireless 9-1-1, which means a person calling with a cellular telephone and in line of sight of the satellites, can be located on a map, to identify their location if they are not sure where they are.
