Coast Guard Station Aids to Navigation Team (STANT) Two Rivers
The first Lifeboat Station is believed to have been built here during the Civil War period. The second station was built in 1909 and served as the Two Rivers Group Command. Today it is a Professional Maritime Military Institution staffed with 24 Coast Guardsmen. They are responsible for over 350 square miles of shoreline including Wisconsin’s largest inland lake, Lake Winnebago. They have five main missions: Ports Waterways and coastal Security, Recreational Boating Safety, Maritime Law Enforcement, Search and Rescue and Aids to Navigation.
