Description
Drug use is non-discriminatory and anyone can be affected by its use. The costs to business in workplace productivity, employee injuries and work comp claims are estimated to be in the billions each year. Many employers believe that drug testing provides all of the necessary results for disciplinary procedures and protects them from civil liabilities; however this is not the case as many substances are not or cannot be tested for accurately. The key for employers is to be able to recognize the sign and symptoms associated with drug use in their employees and to recognize the paraphernalia associated with drug use. This seminar is designed to give a basic understanding of substance abuse, and the knowledge to recognize it in the workplace.
