The COVID-19 pandemic taught us a lot about the impact that disasters can have on businesses large and small, but a pandemic isn’t the only disaster that can disrupt your business operations. Fires, floods, tornadoes, blizzards, long-term power outages, civil unrest, or even a second wave of COVID-19 could have an impact. Now is the time to take steps to ensure your employees can continue working and your businesses can weather the storm. Manitowoc County Emergency Services Director, Travis Waack, will share common sense steps you can take to prepare your business, yourself, and your employees for the next crisis.
Speaker Bio: Travis Waack serves as the Manitowoc County Emergency Services Director were he manages the County’s emergency management program and Joint Dispatch Center. Prior to coming to Manitowoc County, he served as a Disaster Program Manager with the American Red Cross were he responded to dozens of large scale disasters, most notably in his role as the planning section lead for the organization’s response to Hurricane Irma in the State of Florida. He is a graduate of Manitowoc Lutheran High School and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency & Disaster Management from the American Military University.
