Description
E-cigarettes: Time to reconsider your company’s smoking policies
The development of electronic cigarettes has changed the smoking landscape and opened up a new line of debate and a new issue for employers to consider. Join Cath Pape, the re:TH!NK Lakeshore Tobacco Prevention Coordinator to learn more and discuss establishing policy regarding the use of e-cigarette and vaping in the workplace. Tobacco use remains the single largest preventable cause of disease and premature death in the US, yet about 42 million Americans still smoke cigarettes — a bit under 1 in every 5 adults.

Cath Pape has committed over 20 years of her professional career to the important work of prevention and community grassroots organizing in Manitowoc and Sheboygan counties. Currently the coordinator of re:TH!NK, the Lakeshore Tobacco coalition she works to protect WI kids from a lifetime of addiction. She is an active member of the local food movement and enjoys the outdoors, especially paddling the shorelines of the great lakes and rivers. She is a mother of 2 sons, resides in Manitowoc and is fortunate to have both parents and all of her 5 brothers and sisters living within 2 hours of each other.
