Description
Annie Short, Program Manager for Healthiest Manitowoc County will discuss drugs and the cost to businesses. It is estimated that employers spend about $81 billion annually to address drug abuse issues. Absenteeism, injuries, and thefts are just a few of the problems employers face.
Annie will share tips to keep your workplace drug free and allow for time for companies to learn from one another as to what is working in their companies to keep employees substance free and the workplace productive.
Annie has worked in prevention for the last seven years. She co-chairs the local substance abuse prevention coalition, is a member of the State Council and Other Drug Abuse (SCAODA) and currently is co-chairing the SCAODA heroin task force.
