Summary

We are seeking a Production Lead to join our dynamic team at Towsleys Inc. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the production process including embroidery, screen printing, heat press and fulfillment. Your primary focus will be ensuring efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and meeting deadlines to deliver exceptional products to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day production activities including scheduling, workflow management and resource allocation to meet production targets.
• Implement strategies and training to accomplish organizational goals and further company value
• Advocate for Production Team, while possessing overall business knowledge to help drive decisions in what is best for the entire organization
• Monitor daily production and quality control performance records, KPI’s, identifying inefficiencies and taking corrective actions aimed at improvement
• Troubleshoot production challenges, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime
• Manage ordering of supplies, including embroidery thread, ink, heat press materials, blanks and kitting components
• Lead and motivate a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork
• Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to understand project requirements, production feasibility and delivery timelines
• Work closely with team members to continuously improve production techniques, troubleshooting issues and refining processes for greater efficiency and quality
• Clearly communicate with teams inside and outside the department
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs of production equipment to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.
• Uphold workplace safety standards and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Proven work experience as production lead or similar role
• Strong understanding of embroidery, screen printing, and heat press process preferred
• Proficiency in operating production equipment and troubleshooting technical issues
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Effective problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving production challenges
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Leadership ability with outstanding organizational skills
• Familiarity with Promotional Products industry is a plus

Working Conditions & Expectations

• On-site presence required to oversee daily production operations.
• Flexibility to work additional hours during peak production periods.
• Ability to lift and move materials as needed (up to 50 lbs).
• Maintain a positive and proactive approach to handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
