Ascend Services Awarded with Grant from Green Bay Packers Foundation
Funds to be directed toward Youth Services Program
Manitowoc WI., October 12, 2026 – Ascend Services announced today that it has been awarded a grant from the Green Bay Packers Foundation as part of the Foundation’s annual grant cycle. The grant will be used for the Youth Services Program to prepare young people for employment, independence and community participation. Funds from the Green Bay Packers Foundation will be applied to three key areas within Ascend's Youth Services Program: community outing costs and admissions, transportation, and nutritious cooking supplies and food. These resources will provide hands-on learning opportunities that help participants build essential life, social, and employment skills while increasing their confidence and independence.
"We are honored to receive support from the Green Bay Packers Foundation," said Deanna Genske, Executive Director. "This grant allows us to create meaningful experiences that help young people explore their communities, develop practical skills, and gain the confidence needed to succeed in work and life."
Ascend Services is one of 402 nonprofit organizations throughout Wisconsin that have received a grant through this year’s annual grant cycle, which has awarded more than $1.6 million to charitable and civic groups statewide. This year, the Foundation focused on awarding grants to organizations that will use the funds for programs or projects that address animal welfare, homelessness and human services.
The Green Bay Packers Foundation issues grants each year to nonprofit organizations throughout the state of Wisconsin, awarding grants in a four-year cycle. With these disbursements, the Foundation has distributed more than $33 million for charitable purposes since it was established in 1986.
