Felician Village offers a Dementia Community Education Workshop 2026

MANITOWOC, Wis. (Sept. 1, 2026) – Felician Village will offer a free public workshop, Approach Matters, on Monday, September 14, at 10:30 a.m. at Felician Village, 1635 S. 21st Street, Manitowoc.

Dementia can change the way a person experiences the world, not only through memory and communication, but also through their senses and perception. Changes in vision, hearing, touch, taste, small, and the way the brain interprets sensory information can affect how a person responds to their surroundings and to the people around them. Join Sheri Fairman, MSW, CMD CP, Dementia Care Solutions, LLC, to better understand better understand what a person living with dementia may be experiencing through their senses and explore practical ways to adapt their approach.

If you are caring for a loved one at home, supporting someone in a care setting, or want to be a more supportive for a family member or friend, this session offers an opportunity to gain new perspectives and discover practical tools to enhance the caregiving process.
