Fox Communities Credit Union Celebrates Financial Literacy Month with Two Major Youth-Focused
Appleton, Wis., April 2026 -Fox Communities Credit Union is celebrating Financial Literacy Month with two new, high‑impact partnerships designed to bring financial education directly to children across Northeastern Wisconsin, meeting them where they learn, grow, and imagine.
Bringing Financial Literacy to the Classroom
Fox is partnering with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers to bring financial literacy lessons to more than 20 elementary schools through Fang’s Reading Club program. Fox team members will read books focused on saving, spending, and sharing, each paired with a simple, hands‑on activity to help kids connect the concepts to their everyday lives.
Introducing “The Power of One Penny” with Mischief & Magic
In local libraries and schools throughout the region, Fox is launching “The Power of One Penny,” a brand-new program created in collaboration with Mischief & Magic. Using magic, storytelling, and interactive demonstrations, they’ll bring financial concepts to life, showing young learners how small habits, like starting with a few pennies, can grow into something powerful.
Money Smart Wisconsin Week Support
During Money Smart Wisconsin Week, April 6 -12, Fox Communities Credit Union will support free, communitywide events that offer financial tips and tools for families, individuals, and young learners. See Community Events | Northeast & Southeast WI Credit Union | Fox for details.
A Commitment to Starting Early
“Getting financial literacy in front of kids while they’re still young is one of the most meaningful investments we can make,” said Heather Wessley, VP of Community Impact. “When children learn early that saving matters, that small choices add up, and that they have control over their financial future, it builds confidence that carries into adulthood. These partnerships help us turn those lessons into experiences they’ll remember.”
