The Manitowoc County Historical Society Museum and Pinecrest Village, located at 924 Pinecrest Road in Manitowoc, will host its annual Mid-Lakes Agricultural Fair and Thresheree on September 12 and 13, in partnership with the Mid-Lakes Rustic Iron Club. The Mid-Lakes Agricultural Fair and Thresheree is made possible by Country Visions, Dramm Corporation, and WOMT 100.
The annual Agricultural Fair and Thresheree is a celebration of Wisconsin’s agricultural heritage. The 2-day event is filled with agricultural demonstrations, historic trades, and living history shared through the site’s historic structures.
The Two Creeks Town Hall will be transformed into the Exhibition Hall and the citizens of Pinecrest Village will be showing off their best work. The public is invited to do the same! Bring your best beans, flower arrangements, pies, needlework, and more. Vintage tractors and machinery will be on display with opportunities for hands-on field and historic building demonstrations throughout the day. A full schedule of ongoing and timed programs can be found on the event’s website.
Food and beverages are available on site with Moose on the Loose Food Truck. Tram service will be available to assist guests with mobility needs across the grounds.
Sunday, September 13 is also 4H and FFA free day. Those involved within those organizations are asked to wear their 4H or FFA apparel to gain free admission for the day.
General admission for the program is $15 for adults, $13 for seniors, $10 for youth age 4 to 17, and under age 4 is free. General admission is always free for MCHS members. To learn more, connect with the historical society at (920) 684-4445 or visit ManitowocCountyHistory.org. |

About the Manitowoc County Historical Society Museum and Pinecrest Village
Nestled in the scenic rolling Ice Age Kettle Moraine countryside of Eastern Wisconsin, the Manitowoc County Historical Society is a museum of living history. This 60-acre interpretive museum of local history features a Welcome Center with local history exhibits and research services and the outdoor Pinecrest Historical Village - a collection of over 25 historic buildings with period furnishings from Manitowoc County's early settlers.
Pinecrest Historical Village began in 1970 with a land donation from the Hugo and Eleanor Vetting family. The Village has grown to represent a reproduction of a small Wisconsin community during the early 1900s. The buildings form the commercial, social, and political core of a town and they represent several architectural styles of Wisconsin's history. The furnishings, items, and tools in the various buildings used by the Pinecrest Village interpreters are either original pieces or carefully researched reproductions.
