Inspire WI Event Connects Students and Employers to Build Northeast Wisconsin’s Future Workforce
APPLETON, WI – Inspire WI is strengthening Northeast Wisconsin’s talent pipeline by connecting high school students directly with employers and real-world career pathways. On January 29 from 9:30–11:00 a.m. at the CESA 6 Office, Inspire WI will host a Marketing, Media & the Arts Industry Immersion, a hands-on experience designed to align student interests with in-demand workforce needs. This immersive event brings together students, educators, and industry professionals to address a growing workforce challenge, helping young people understand how their skills translate into viable, local careers. Students interested in art, media, and digital marketing will rotate through interactive stations led by employers, gaining firsthand insight into career paths, required skills, and workplace expectations. “Inspire WI is focused on building intentional connections between students and employers,” said Cynthia Pavelski, Inspire WI Consultant. “When students can see how their creativity applies to real jobs, and employers can engage with future talent early, it creates stronger pathways into the workforce and long-term benefits for our region.” Employers benefit from early engagement with motivated students, increased awareness of career opportunities within their industries, and a stronger pipeline of future employees who understand both technical and employability skills. Media are invited to attend and capture the experience in action, including opportunities to interview students, employers, and Inspire WI leadership. Visuals will include hands-on activities, small-group discussions, and authentic conversations between students and industry professionals. This Industry Immersion is part of Inspire WI’s broader mission to support workforce development through meaningful school-business partnerships that prepare students for success while helping employers meet future workforce needs.
