Lakeshore College Foundation awards over $367,000 in scholarships

Lakeshore College Foundation awards over $367,000 in scholarships
Over half of the scholarships were for full tuition.

CLEVELAND, WI – The Lakeshore College Foundation awarded $367,851 in scholarships to 332 students during its fall scholarship cycle. Sixty-three percent of them were awarded as full tuition scholarships, leaving recipients with no tuition bill for the academic year.

“What makes this scholarship cycle extraordinary is the number of students we assisted and how our community showed up for them. With 63% of awards covering full tuition, our donors ensured that determined, hardworking students could focus on their career goals instead of financial barriers,” said Lakeshore College Foundation Executive Director Courtney Donati.

The majority of full tuition scholarships were funded by the Richard F. Brindza Memorial Scholarship and Adam Steel Family Scholarship Fund of the Lakeshore Community Foundation. The Brindza scholarship is available to students pursuing careers in the skilled trades. The Steel scholarship is available to students enrolled in select healthcare programs.
