Lakeshore Technical College Spring Graduation Set for May 11

CLEVELAND, WI – The first graduates of Lakeshore Technical College’s information technology-cybersecurity specialist associate degree program are ready to graduate. The seven students will be among more than 325 students set to celebrate their educational achievements on Saturday, May 11, during the college’s spring graduation celebration taking place on the college’s Cleveland campus.

A majority of the almost 500 credentials being awarded are associate degrees, technical diplomas, and certificates. Almost 100 Registered Apprenticeships, General Education Development (GED) certificates, and High School Equivalency Diplomas (HSEDs) will also be awarded.

"As we honor our students’ achievements, Lakeshore faculty and staff encourage them to always remember how their resilience and dedication helped them make it to this day. They have the power to make a lasting impact in our community and we are confident they will succeed,” says Lakeshore President Dr. Paul Carlsen.

In response to student feedback, graduation at Lakeshore is celebrated differently than most other colleges. Each academic area has a designated timeframe to have degrees conferred during a more family-friendly type event, though students may attend when it works best for them and their families.
