Lakeshore Wind Ensemble, Festival of Christmas Concert

Lakeshore Wind Ensemble, Festival of Christmas Concert
Saturday, December 7, 7:30 pm
Capitol Civic Centre, Manitowoc, WI
Conductor Jeremiah Eis and the Lakeshore Wind Ensemble invite you to “ring” in the holiday season during our 41st annual "Festival of Christmas" concert at the beautiful Capitol Civic Centre in downtown Manitowoc - where the windows will be glowing with Evergleams and the shoppers will be bustling through the streets. A special group of musicians will be joining us, the Conservatory Ringers Handbell Ensemble from the Holy Family Conservatory of Music, directed by Sandra Eithun. Sandra has over 650 pieces for handbells in publication as well as several sacred keyboard books and teaching collections for the incorporation of handbells in the music classroom. In 2013, Sandra had the honor of working alongside Doc Severinsen and the Fox Valley Symphony to include handbells in his holiday show, Jingle Bell Doc, at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton, WI. Sandra’s compositions have been recently featured on the PBS Christmas special, Holiday Handbells, as well as concerts by noted groups across the country including The Raleigh Ringers and The Bells on Temple Square in Salt Lake City. She continues to work as a handbell clinician and conductor at numerous festivals and workshops throughout the United States.

Selections include music of John Rutter, and Christmas classics like The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, Sleigh Ride, and a holiday favorite - the audience Christmas sing-along! Our concert wouldn't be as joyful as it is without the narration of TV host Tom Zalaski and the sweet voices of the children in our LWE Children's Choir, directed by Ginger Van Ells. Join us for a merry night of music, including a surprise appearance by the jolly man in red himself! Get your tickets today at cccshows.org.
